  We stayed here in a 20-foot trailer in mid-July and rate it as one of the best Federal campgrounds in which we have ever camped -- and that includes many across the U.S. The campsites are immaculately groomed, and unbelievably roomy, especially those on the river side. The no-flush bathroom lacked that odor that usually permeates such facilities, and ample water was available for those staying in tents (personal use only -- no dish-washing or filling RV storage tanks). It's a first-come/first-served situation, so it's best to arrive before the weekend. Camp hosts were wonderful -- professional, kind and immediately responsive to some campers next to us who pushed the 10:00 noise-abatement rule. Would definitely stay here again.
